Preshafruit Juices began with a simple purpose – create the best tasting apple juice on the market. And we think it’s safe to say they achieved this goal. Hoctor has been supporting Preshafood every step of the way, helping the business refrigerate their 100% natural juices and products.

 

From designing facilities and cold storage to supplying equipment, Hoctor has partnered with Preshafruit Juices for over a decade, helping the business upscale and expand their operations. In recent times, Preshafruit Juices set up a new interstate warehouse, where our team designed, manufactured, and installed a standalone plug and play glycol chiller, which included flexible capacity for additional modules.

 

Signed, sealed, and delivered in the middle of a pandemic, Hoctor was able to keep Preshafruit Juices products chilled and fresh until it made its journey to the consumer’s fridge.

ALC Colac

Delivering efficiency and productivity gains at a scale previously unseen in Australia, the plant upgrade Hoctor undertook for Australian Lamb Company not only provided a solution to the company’s existing design challenges but was also nominated in 2019 at the Oscars of the refrigeration industry – the AIRAH Awards.

 

Showcasing the capacity of sustainable natural refrigerants, Hoctor custom designed a cascade tunnel system and expanded the existing onsite cold storage freezer. With tight deadlines, Hoctor was able to avoid disruption to existing production whilst providing financial, environmental, and operational benefits on an exponential level.

Holgate Brewhouse

Holgate Brewhouse has been synonymous with craft beer for over two decades, and it’s easy to see why. Over time, the pioneers in microbrewing have forged an international reputation for world-class beer and Hoctor are proud to be chilling the amber nectar they’re celebrated for.

 

Seeking to capitalise on the burgeoning beer industry and expand to an overseas market, Holgate Brewhouse sought the experience and expertise of Hoctor to solve their operational conundrum. Keeping capital investment low but benefits high, Hoctor provided a world-class German made brewing system and equipment, delivering the chilled glycol plant to Holgate Brewhouse on our popular hire agreement. Comforted by the understanding that all maintenance, service, and troubleshooting is covered, Holgate Brewhouse not only increased brewing capacity and improved product consistency, but also put themselves in good stead to keep the locals happy whilst strengthening their international brand and exports.

 

Costa Mushrooms

As one of Australia’s leading farmers, packagers, and marketers of fresh fruit and vegetables, Costa is on a mission to celebrate quality food whilst setting the gold standard in sustainable, commercial farming.  With a reputation that relies on the safe and reliable cold storage of their product, Costa approached Hoctor to increase capacity of their mushroom cooling and processing plant in Monarto, South Australia.

 

With a short project turnaround, Hoctor boosted the capacity of Costa to supply farm-fresh quality mushrooms within 24 hours of harvest, guaranteeing consumer access all year round.  Included in our refrigerant solution was a humidity control, ideal for large scale processing facilities and cool rooms such as Costa’s. The system featured automated temperature control, humidity, and pressure – utilising Danfoss MCX logic controllers for remote access and accuracy. With a fluctuating climate, Hoctor also installed several evaporative condensers to Costa’s plant, which helps maintain stable and lower conditions, optimising product preservation and quality.

 

The result? Hoctor’s worked helped Costa double the Monarto mushroom plant’s weekly production capacity.
